3月14日至16日，中加海外学校校长张晓达女士、上加拿大教育局副局长Tim先生、国际项目主任Matt先生、寄宿家庭经理Brian Lai 先生和Julie Whallen女士一行五人来我校国际部对中加10年级、11年级学生进行为期三天的升学指导。
From March 14 to 16th, Canadian Overseas School Principal Soda, Director of Upper Canada District School Board Tim, Head of International Education Matt, Homestay managers Brian Lai and Julie Whallen visited the International Department and offered study guidance to Grade 10 and Grade 11 students in the Canadian programme.
14、15日，Tim先生与中加项目6月份即将结束国内课程奔赴加拿大继续学业的10年级、11年级学生一一谈话，对学生的英语水平与口语表达能力做了详细地评估，肯定了我校学生的表现，并激励学生在国内继续强化语言学习，为赴加学习做好更充分的准备。
On March 14th and 15th, Tim had interviews with Grade 10 and Grade 11 students who will study in Canada this summer. He made detailed assessment of every students’ language level and expression skills during the interview. He praised the good performance of our students and encouraged them to improve their language skills for future study in Canada.
与此同时，两位寄宿家庭经理Brian Lai 先生和Julie Whallen女士也与学生进行了一对一谈话，了解每个学生的性格特点、特长爱好、寄宿家庭的选择意向、特殊要求等等，要求学生树立规则意识，尊重当地风俗及习惯，懂得及时沟通，以便更快地融入寄宿家庭、融入加拿大当地生活，更好地完成学业。
Homestay Managers Brian Lai and Julie Whallen also talked to our students one by one. They considered their different characters, hobbies and requirements on homestay carefully so that they could match a suitable homestay for them. They also advised students to study homestay regulations and respect local culture, and learn how to integrate into a homestay sooner, so that they can focus on their academic success.
15日下午一点，国际部召开了中外全体教师会议，吴文娟校长致欢迎辞并对加方给予的帮助致谢。会上中外团队就学生在校学习情况、英语能力、兴趣拓展、文化交流、学习方式以及往届生在加拿大学习情况、生活情况进行了深入沟通，以更好地进行教育教学。
At 1 PM of March 15th, the International Department held a teachers’ meeting. Maggie Wu expressed her sincere welcome to the Canadian delegation and thanked them for their constant support. During this meeting, Canadian teachers and Chinese teachers communicated effectively on students’ school performance, language level, hobbies, cultural exchanges and ways of learning in order to improve their teaching in the future.
16日下午，国际部召开了中加项目10年级、11年级学生家长会。张晓达女士和Tim先生对项目作了更为深入的报告，就英语能力和独立性等方面对学生提出了希望和要求，在选择学校和课程方面给予升学指导，在寄宿家庭选择和文化融合方面提出建议，让学生和家长们为赴加留学做好全方位准备。会上吴文娟校长就签证相关事宜做了详细说明，以确保签证工作有序进行。
On the afternoon of March 16th, the International Department held a parents’ meeting. Soda and Tim made a more detailed introduction of our Canadian programme. They proposed requirements for students’ language ability and independence. They also told students on how to choose courses and schools. During this meeting, Maggie Wu gave a detailed explanation of students’ study permits to ensure the successful visa application of every student.
