为了培养学生的动手实践能力和探究能力,同时在探索过程中培养学生数学思维的方法和能力,本周国际部中加高一三个班级分别进行了数学二次函数课题实践活动,同学们自由分组,平均每组5人进行活动计划,测量并完成实践报告。

  上课五分钟,同学们在老师和体委的带领下有序前往篮球场,以组为单位为确认三分线是否是二次函数而测量自定义点的坐标并分别带入顶点式,交点式,一般式,看结果是否相似。活动中大家都积极参与,跟随组长做好自己的本职工作。大家按照笔记本上的原定计划,认真完成测量工作,整个活动秩序井然。测量结束后,同学们安静回班,进行计算和报告总结。

  二次函数的知识点在国内课程中也有,不过国内课程中的二次函数偏重学习课本的知识,解决书本问题。而国际课程中的二次函数,同学们可以走出课堂,来到实际生活中,投入到具体实践操作中,更好地掌握有关知识。同学们通过这样的实践活动,不仅扎实了二次函数的有关知识,而且培养了他们应用数学的思想意识,更培养了他们自主探究、独立思考以及与他人交流合作的能力。同时,他们之间的关系似乎又近了一步,虽然实践时也遇到了一些问题,但是同学们仍能克服困难完成测量,这也锻炼了他们的能力,同时,也为出国后的学习生活奠定了基础!

The Practical Research Activities of International Mathematics Courses

  In order to cultivate students’ practical and researching ability, to develop students’ math thinking method and abilities, T, O, V classes in the International Department had the subject of a quadratic function of mathematical practice in this week. Students were freely divided into 5 groups, which included 5 persons for each one, and they measured and reported themselves.

  Five minutes after the class started, teachers led the students to the basketball court orderly. Each group measured the coordinate and brought them into the vertex type, intersection type, general type to confirm whether the three-point line in the playground is a quadratic function and whether the results are similar.

  In  the whole activity, the students are actively involved, and finished the assigned work by following the group leader. Each student finished their task based on their original plan. The whole process was in order. After the completion of the measurement, the students went back to class quietly to calculate and report their summary.

  Our national course also has quadratic function while it emphasizes the theoretical knowledge. However, the international course encourages students to walk out of the classroom and put it into specific practice. Through this activity, students have understood more about the features and meanings of  the quadratic and cultivate their consciousness of applying; meanwhile, it also develops their abilities to research and  think independently and to learn to cooperate with the others .Through this, their relationships seemed much closer. Although students encountered many problems, they still overcame difficulties to complete the measurement, which also trained their abilities and set foundations for their lives abroad!
