圣诞晚会的热度刚刚散去，国际部的素拓活动又如火如荼地拉开帷幕。2016年12月25日，整个校园依然沉浸在节日欢乐的气氛中，国际部的师生们拎着大包小包，迎着清晨的第一道曙光一同踏上了两天一夜的张家港素拓活动的旅途。
After the Christmas Party, the International Department of SIFLS organized another activity. On December 25, 2016, as the entire campus was still immersed in the festive atmosphere of joy, facing the first light in the morning, the students and faculty of the International Department launched two days and nights of Zhangjiagang Extension activities with their belongings.
伴随着一路的欢声笑语，大巴车载着师生们来到了我们此次的目的地——张家港。紧张和枯燥的学习之余，能够有机会换一个环境舒缓身心，大家都表现出热情满满。
With laughter along the way, the bus carried the teachers and students to Zhangjiagang. To have the opportunity to change the environment and to ease the body and mind after intense learning, students all showed enthusiasm.
经历了简单的整队集合之后，我们便迎来了本次素拓的第一个活动——模拟法庭。穿上了法官袍的同学，坐在审判台上还真有几分像模像样，分饰法警和书记员的同学们也都在认真扮演着自己的角色。短短的时间，在老师们的指导下，同学们从头到尾体验了法庭的审判过程，既收获了角色扮演的乐趣，又在潜移默化中增强了法律意识。
After organizing the whole team, we ushered in the first activity —— Mock Court. The students played the roles of judge, police, and clerk. They treated the experience seriously and made us feel the air of a real court. Under the guidance of the teachers, students experienced the trial process of the court from beginning to the end. Not only did they gain the fun of role-playing, but they also enhanced their legal awareness.
室内攀爬活动也名列最受同学们欢迎的活动之一。攀爬墙壁上如糖果般五颜六色的小石块激发着同学们满满的征服欲，一个个摩拳擦掌跃跃欲试，导师们也忍不住地加入到攀爬的行列之中。只见挂在墙上的“蜘蛛侠”们手脚并用，不断变换着姿势和方向，努力地一点一点向上爬。这个看似不难的活动真正参与其中才发现并不简单，途中不时会有笨手笨脚的“蜘蛛”滑落下来，但同学们不服输的精神和毅力支持着他们抵达成功的顶点。
Indoor climbing was the most popular activity for the students. The colorful candy-like wall stones stimulated the students to conquer, and each one was eager to scale the wall. Even the homeroom teachers could not wait to join the ranks. These "Spider-Men" climbed with hands and feet, constantly changing posture and direction, as they strived to climb little by little. This seemingly easy activity proved to be harder than it looked. Some clumsy "spiders" fell down from time to time, but the students’ unyielding spirit and perseverance continued to keep them inspired until they reached the culmination of success.
看到抬着担架到处跑的同学，请不要紧张，这可是素拓中心为我们国际部的学生们精心安排的一次急救演习，在专业老师的指导下，同学们认真学习了心肺复苏、人工呼吸的方法和担架知识。让大家能够真正在书本之外学习到实用有效的急救知识，增强安全意识，这也是本次素拓的目的之一。
When you saw the students carrying the stretcher around, please do not be nervous. This is an emergency drill arranged carefully by the International Center for our students. Under the guidance of professional teachers, students carefully studied cardiopulmonary resuscitation, artificial respiration, and stretcher knowledge. To enhance the safety awareness is also one of the purposes of the extension so that the students can really learn practical and effective first aid knowledge from firsthand practice.
第二天的江边烧烤和自助包水饺活动可以说是“小吃货”们的福利。看着眼前一堆丰富的食材，平日在家“娇生惯养”的“少爷小姐”们手足无措，不得要领，但在沈主任和导师们的耐心指导下，一个个都渐入佳境，纷纷变身能干的小厨师。经过自己的努力而烹制出的美食，吃到嘴里格外可口。同学们的脸上都洋溢着满满的成就感和幸福感。
The second day on the riverbank, barbecue and buffet dumpling-making activities were a special joy for foodies. Looking at the pile of rich ingredients in front of them, these spoiled students seemed helpless, but their cooking skills improved under the patient guidance of Director Shen and the other mentors. It is especially delicious to eat the food cooked by one’s own efforts. The faces of the students were filled with a sense of accomplishment and happiness.
在充实的活动中感受趣味，在趣味的活动中提升自我。两天一夜的素拓活动虽然短暂，却为国际部的孩子们提供了一个全方位锻炼和展现自我的微型舞台。乐趣与学习并行不悖，才是苏国外国际教育所追求的永恒理念。
We experienced fun and acquired self-improvement in these enriching activities. Though the time was short, it provided a miniature stage with a full range of exercise and self-expression. To balance fun and learning is the eternal pursuit of the International Department’s education in SIFLS.
