You get Christmas even when you are abroad
The Christmas party of SAA program in sifls
Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Jesus and a festival of hope and longing for mankind. Our SAA program had our Christmas party on the fifth floor of our international department building on December 20th, 2017. All the teachers and students gather together, unwrapping gifts, decorating Christmas trees, playing games, singing Christmas songs and so on, which was really pleasing and homey. Although all the foreign teachers come from different countries, they chose to come to our school. And tonight, with all the laughter and carol- singing they felt the happiness and warmth of home.
At the beginning of the party, the host Aaron first introduced the origin of the Christmas and the Western ways of celebration of Christmas for the students. The students listened carefully, and then their enthusiasm increased.
The teacher prepared the Christmas gifts for the students, but to get these gifts, they need some skills to open those deliberate-wrapped packings. The MSU photography team recorded the lovely appearances of the students' gnashing teeth.
There must be Christmas trees in Christmas parties, and this time, we students get to decorate the trees by themselves. Those paper-cuttings, diversiform gauzes, and decorative glass balls do go with each other, which made them look like real gifts hanging on there.
Sleigh-skiing is undoubtedly the highlight of the party. Three students come as a group to compete with other groups Two of the three dressed like a deer, and the other one pulled the sleigh. The students had great fun.
Christmas is a festival to express our love. Aaron, Grace, and other foreign teachers patiently teach their classmates to sing Christmas carols. It was the moment that we realized no matter you are teachers or students and no matter which country you are from, we can cross the border, shorten the distance between the two cultures and be like a family. We sincerely wish all the best and a more wonderful Christmas party next year!
