开学伊始，正值阳光和煦、春暖花开之际，国际部中加项目加方教学督导John不远万里再次来到苏州国际外语学校国际部指导工作。本次来访主要沟通项目运作事宜并指导中外教师教学。
26号下午一点半至五点，John分别召开了国际部学部领导会议、外教会议和中方教师会议，表达了对中外教师团队的问候及项目运行情况的肯定，及时传达了加方教育局相关信息，推动课堂教学模式改革，对教学工作分层次分对象提出了更新更高的标准，要求中外团队加强合作，齐心协力致力于提升学生的学业水平、综合能力，并建立多元评价体系和激励措施，调动学生学习积极性，全面督促学生发展。
同时，John将对学生进行学业和升学指导，根据学生特点进行成长规划，确保每个孩子得到最好的发展。合作、创新、共赢，优质的教学与优良的服务来自于专业的团队，在加方指导下，国际部将会给学生给家长给社会提供更好的教育教学服务。
Improve teaching and promote international education
At the beginning of this new term, Canadian program supervisor John came back to SIFLS to support our work in International Department. His visit aims to promote the operation of Canadian program and supervise the teaching of both Chinese and Canadian teachers.
John attended the administrators’ meeting, Canadian teachers’ meeting and Chinese teachers’ meeting from 1.30 pm to 5 pm on 26th, February. He expressed warm greetings to the staff of International Department and appreciated the good operation of Canadian program here. He conveyed updated information from Upper Canada District School Board to us, encouraged us to shape the way of teaching and set higher standards for differentiated instruction. He asked Canadian and Chinese teachers to work more closely and try to improve the academic performance and abilities of our students. He also hoped that we should build a balanced assessment system and motivate students to achieve comphresive development.
Meanwhile, John will provide academic advising for each student and help them get a better development. This visit improves the cooperation, innovation, win-win outcome of both sides. Quality teaching and service must come from a professional team. Under the supervision of Canadian colleagues, our teaching team will provide parents and society with better education in the future.
