4月12日中午,国际部迎来了15名来自澳洲芙班科文法学校的中学生以及3位随团老师。

On April 12, 15 students and 3 teachers from Firbank Grammar School visited the International Department.

  苏州国际外语学校中澳项目负责人翟廷老师介绍了本次中澳交流活动的流程,本次活动由中华文化体验、中方国际课程学习、语言交流、美食品鉴等环节构成。

David Zhai, VCE Coordinator, introduced their activities in the afternoon. There are many colourful activities for our Australian guests, such as Chinese culture experience, international curriculumn study, language practice, delicious food sharing and so on.

  活动初始,澳洲学生与我校VCE11年级学生结对进行交流学习、参观校园,在此过程中澳洲学生也了解到了中国的风土人情。

Australian students met with their Chinese school partners and walked around the campus. By talking with Chinese students, they knew more about Chinese culture.

  随后的国际化课程观摩中,陈惠芹老师妙语连珠、声情并茂的语文教学让学生感受到了中文的魅力,David老师互动式的英语教学使枯燥的语言课变得格外生动,于敏老师“一舞剑器动四方”的神韵、散打搏击的飒爽英姿更是让澳洲学切身感受了源远流长的中华武术之美,一番太极教学以静制动,也体现了华夏子孙刚柔相济的独特品质。

During the study time, they went to different classrooms for different subjects, such as CFL, EAL, MM. Our Chinese teacher Kate’s wonderful teaching made students interested in the charm of Chinese language. Our EAL teacher David engaged students in the reading and made reading a lot of fun. Our PE teacher Yu showed different Chinese Gongfu and let students enjoy the beauty of Chinese martial arts, which also reflected the Chinese philosophy of mixing hardness with softness.

  多样化的课程学习结束后,中澳学生在美食的陪伴下,以歌舞、篮球友谊赛、乒乓球竞技、魔方演练等方式增进了双方友谊,也提升了各自的语言能力。

After colorful lessons, they used dancing, playing basketball, pingpang, playing Rubik's Cube to build their friendship with each other and to improve their language skills.

  国际部将继续开展游学互访活动,为我校学生步入国际知名大学搭建桥梁,促进我校学生全方位发展。我们期望通过西方文化氛围的熏陶,学生能增强抗压能力和独立自主能力,拓展阅历和见识,培养其全球化角度的思维方式,为我校学生的人生旅途增添一笔无形的财富。

The international department will continue to have more exchange activities and build the bridge for our VCE students to study in the world famous universities and to achieve their overall development. We hope that by being immersed in the western culture, students can learn to be more independent , try to develop their agency and global thinking skills, which will be a big fortune for their future.
